Lately, I've been writing entries that I feel have been
A: Not about teeth
and
B: Either uplifting or a commentary on some social issue that is important to me
BUT not today.
Today I am taking a cue from a guy who writes a blog called "How You Have Wronged Me Today" which is a super funny, wicked blog about the random people he meets that behave badly. The only reason I am not including a link is because it isn't really children's programming--not that kids read my blog--but if you want to see it you'll have to find it.
Anyway, here we go:
Dear Father of Patient Who Won't Pay Us,
Dude, you are seriously on my last nerve. I have listened to you on too many occasions trying to skirt the issue of payment for various reasons such as new insurance, you thought your mom was paying, you thought your wife was paying etc etc. Meanwhile, your kid is not being seen because everyone thinks everyone else is supposed to take care of it.
You don't return calls and you have managed to be unable to receive emails though you can send them. Most stunningly, your latest excuse for not paying is that your insurance told you not to until they made a payment. Really? Seriously? What do they care? They are paying $1000 on a $5000 bill. You owe the rest regardless of what and how and when they pay it. In eleven years of doing what I do, I have never, ever heard of an insurance company telling someone not to pay. Frustrating.
Every time I talk to you it's something new. I am so over it. Really. You are the kind of person that I can't stand dealing with because I think you may actually believe the crud that you are dishing out. You have convinced yourself that what you are doing is acceptable. It's not. Capiche?
In closing, lose the lame excuses and pay your bill. If you don't have any money then tell me the truth. Believe it or not, I am a reasonable human being. I just don't care for being lied to.
Sincerely,
CW
Okee dokee--I totally feel better now.
