Oh no, not again!

Two times this week, yesterday and today, parents called lamenting over the fact that they missed their appointments followed by, "BUT we didn't get a call!" Ugh.

Does it really matter if you did or did not get a confirmation call? (Both parties did, by the way) We are surrounded by technology. Time and calendars are EVERYWHERE!!! I don't wear a watch because I am surrounded by the time...on my cell phone, the phone at my desk, my computer, my car, the radio at my desk. At this very moment, I can see the time in 3 places.  My calendar in my phone tells me when I need to be somewhere.

Now, I am not naive enough to think that everyone has embraced technology like I have. Whatever. Like it or lump it, it is here to stay. But if you aren't going to embrace technology then you can't blame an automated phone confirmation system for missing your appointment. You can't have it both ways.

I have said it once and I will say it again, you and you alone are responsible for your appointments. You pick the day and time for when it is best for you. You are given an appointment card. It is now in your hands.

It's not the end of the world to miss an appointment, just call and reschedule. You probably won't get a good day or time like you had. Blaming us for making you miss your appointment will not make any of those appointments appear either. Being mad won't help either.

As always, we will do the best we can for you. Let's work together, be a little flexible and we can get the job done.
