I am on vacation this week so just a thought for today. I was standing behind a family at Epcot yesterday at a patisserie in France. The mom was telling her daughter's boyfriend about how she couldn't believe that her daughter was 18 years old and still had baby teeth. Sounded like the baby teeth were her cuspids or "eye teeth". What was frightening about this was that the daughter already had braces. The orthodontist wanted to deal with the baby teeth but the mom refused because the daughter was getting her senior pictures taken. So the mom was like, "We really need to deal with this at some point." They think the adult teeth are going to just grow in. Those teeth have to be impacted otherwise they wouldn't still be in the gums! I was having all sorts of bad thoughts--that the orthodontist didn't inform them properly, that the mom is kind of an idiot for not taking care of this because of senior pictures, feeling bad for the girl because clearly she is getting the short end of this stick.
Even though I am concerned for this family--I enjoyed my chocolate croissant just the same!
